The advice on how to use real Ghost Hunting equipment can only be be answered by real researchers with years of experience in the ghost hunting field. Many would be Ghost Hunters only shop Paranormal Detection Equipment, Electronic Ghost Hunting Detectors because they think it is cool and want to try their hand at it. Usually without any prior training or other interest then doing what they think is cool.

Paranormal investigators make use of over a dozen different tools and electronic devices to help track down and locate possible evidence of paranormal. But are they in your ghost Hunters toolbox? I can remember the day when individuals went into a very haunted house armed only with a Camera: 35mm camera with black and white film and/or infrared film. It took no more then that to make many into true believers. My advice is: Determine which ghost hunting methods you'll feel most comfortable working with: sensory or scientific. Take into consideration the types of places you want to investigate and who will be with you. Walkie talkies come in handy for keeping in contact when covering large spaces such as cemeteries. Determine which equipment you are most likely to use if you are pursuing a scientific approach to data collection. Comparison shop at electronics and camera stores to be sure you are getting the best price and warranty on the equipment you purchase.

Real Ghost Hunting Tips & Warnings

Recording investigation data such as the date and location of the investigation, who's present and start time and finish times helps to preserve the integrity of the hunt. And of course it is real documentation.
Keep a lookout for used equipment, especially the more pricey and prized items like infrared thermal scanners, night vision equipment and air ion counters. Today pawn shops and ebay are filled with them.
Make sure to carry extra batteries. Many paranormal investigations do last for many, many hours. It's also theorized that ghosts drain available energy sources, such as batteries, to manifest. You want to make sure your equipment always has a power source in case you encounter Ghostly activity off the scale.

Don't spend a lot of money on fancy equipment for your first ghost hunting excursion. See if your well suited for becoming a real Paranormal Investigator first.

Recognize Signs of Paranormal Encounters and Hauntings and the Related Stress

Both negative and positive stressors can lead to stress. Some common categories and examples of stressors include: sensory input such as pain, bright light, or environmental issues such as a lack of control over environmental circumstances, such as food, housing, health, freedom, or mobility. We as paranormal investigators understand that these stress factors are usually what has caused a ghost to haunt a location person place or thing.

Difficulty sleeping.
Difficulty maintaining balance in their lives.
Low threshold of frustration.
Increased use of drugs/alcohol.
Limited attention span.
Poor work performance.
Headaches/stomach problems.
Tunnel vision/muffled hearing.
Colds or flu-like symptoms.
Disorientation or confusion.
Difficulty concentrating.
Reluctance to leave home.
Depression, sadness.
Feelings of hopelessness.
Mood-swings and easy bouts of crying.
Overwhelming guilt and self-doubt.
Fear of crowds, strangers, or being alone.

Paranomal Investigators who work with dependent people can also experience compassion fatigue; this can become a cause of abusive behavior in caring paranormal professions. It results from the taxing nature of showing compassion for someone whose paranormal suffering is continuous and un-resolvable.

One may still care for the person as required by policy, however, the natural human desire to help them is no longer there. This phenomenon also occurs for professionals involved with long term health care. It can also occur for loved ones who have institutionalized family members. These people may develop symptoms of depression, stress, and trauma. Those who are primary care providers for patients with terminal illnesses are at a higher risk of developing these symptoms. In the medical profession, this is often described as "burnout": the more specific terms secondary traumatic stress and vicarious trauma are also used. Some professionals may be predisposed to compassion fatigue due to personal trauma.

Easing Paranormal-Related Stress

The following are ways to ease disaster-related stress:

Talk with someone about your feelings - anger, sorrow, and other emotions - even though it may be difficult.
Seek help from professional counselors who deal with post-paranormal investigation stress.
Do not hold yourself responsible for the paranormal event or encounter event or be frustrated because you feel you cannot help directly in the rescue work.
Take steps to promote your own physical and emotional healing by healthy eating, rest, exercise, relaxation, and meditation.
Maintain a normal family and daily routine, limiting demanding responsibilities on yourself and your family.
Spend time with family and friends.
Participate in memorials.
Use existing support groups of family, friends, and religious institutions.
Ensure you are ready for future paranormal events by making sure your equipment is working order and you have supplies and updating your ghost hunting skills and plan. Doing these positive actions can be comforting.

Understanding Paranomal Events

Everyone who sees or experiences a real paranormal is affected by it in some way.
It is normal to feel anxious about your own safety and that of your family and close friends.
Profound sadness, grief, and anger are normal reactions to an abnormal event.
Acknowledging your feelings helps you recover.

You remembered to bring along extra batteries, Your EMF detector, Camera, thermo Gun and digital voice recorder but did you ever think about what you need in case of an emergency.

Paranormal Researchers today are often the last to be prepared for ghost or demon attacks much less for getting stranded in a haunted location. Imagine locked in a haunted warehouse or mansion for a few days, or trapped in a dark pit in a secluded Haunted cemetery or lost in the woods hunting cryptids. No food, shelter or water and haunted by unseen specters, Spooks or shades.

Would you know what to do if stranded in some of the world's harshest environments without food or shelter? Dante Alighieri wrote this allegorical epic poem between 1306 and 1321. Virgil is the guide who takes the reader through the author's examination of the afterlife. It travels through the Inferno (Hell), the Purgatorio (Purgatory), and the Paradiso (Heaven).

Some called the Gates To Hell - The Nazi Death Camps. Others say nine "Abandon hope all ye who enter here Gates of Hell" exist on the earth ever open for the unsuspecting to enter.

La Porte de l'Enfer (translated The Gates of Hell) is a monumental sculptural group work by French artist Auguste Rodin that depicts a scene from "The Inferno", the first section of The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. It stands at 6 m high, 4 m wide and 1 m deep (19.69'H X 13.12'W X 3.29'D) and contains 180 figures. The figures range from 15 cm high up to more than one meter. Several of the figures were also cast independently by Rodin.

To call the seven gates of hell an urban legend goes back before there were urbans. Safely we can call it legend, but is there any truth to be found?

Some Americans say The Seven Gates of Hell are located in Hellam, near York, in Pennsylvania, Some believe and swear it to be located New Jersey or New York...

The story goes that there was once a mental asylum which had caught fire. The inmates tried to escape through the forest in which the asylum was located. Surrounding the asylum were seven gates which trapped the inmates. Many were killed by the fire or by other inmates. To this day, it is said that no one has made it past the location of the Fifth Gate and returned out of the forest. The Mysterious haunted Toad Road name often comes in to play when the story is told no matter where the location is described to be.

Stull, Kansas - Gates to Hell

Apparently there are seven "Gates to Hell" that are located around America. Stull, KS is a very small town located between Lawrence, KS (home of the KU Jayhawks) and Clinton Dam. The town itself is quiet and keeps to itself and, as can be expected, not much happens in Stull; that is, not much happens until Halloween.

One of these seven gates is claimed to be located in the Stull Cemetery and "opens up" only on Halloween at midnight. It is fabled that you can see blood on gravestones, hear and see strange sights and even throw a glass bottle at a wall surrounding the cemetery as hard as you want and it won't break! These stories have been linked to Stull for more than 100 years. In November 1974, an article appeared in the University of Kansas student newspaper that spoke of a number of strange occurrences in the Stull churchyard. According to the article, Stull was “haunted by diabolical, supernatural happenings” and the asserted that the cemetery was one of the two places on earth where the devil appears in person two times each year.

Ishtar

The goddess could be worshipped as both male and female Ishtar, reflecting her dual role of sex and war as well as the evening and morning aspects of the planet.

Ishtar from whom we derive Easter went through the seven gates of hell to find Tammuz so that he could play the magical flute and smell the incense. The fertility goddess caused all natural processes to fail until she was rescued. The women in Ezekiel 8 lamented for Tammuz while the men held an early Sun Rise Service right there at the Temple in Jerusalem. Ishtar is worshiped in musical praise each year in thousands of churches.

One real warning though, if the rusted shut heavy gate opens do not enter. For you will be one of the living trapped in the world of the dead forever. If you arrive and the Guinee gates are open turn and walk away crossing yourself three times as fast as you can and don't look back.

In New Orleans voodoo-religion, Guinee is the legendary place of origin and abode of the voodoo gods. It is here that the souls of the deceased go after their death. On their way to Guinee, they first have to pass the eternal crossroads which is guarded by Ghede.

Ghede is represented as an undertaker, dressed completely in black wearing dark glasses. His followers disguise themselves as corpses and they dance the Banda Mardi Gras Day. Other members of his retinue are Baron la Croix (Baron of the Cross) is the mystical Baron responsible for the reclamation of souls, and Baron Cemetière a spirit of the dead. And they say he loves nothing more then a slice of King Cake left for him at any cemetery gate. Waiting to possess people gathered to watch, the Ghede can be considered very dangerous. If touched by these powerful deities, a person can instantly die and be taken back to the afterworld.

Charon, in Greek mythology, is the ferryman of the dead. The souls of the deceased are brought to him by Hermes, and Charon ferries them across the river Acheron. He only accepts the dead which are buried or burned with the proper rites, and if they pay him an obolus (coin) for their passage. For that reason a corpse had always an obolus placed under the tongue.
Those who cannot afford the passage, or are not admitted by Charon, are doomed to wander on the banks of the Styx for a hundred years. Living persons who wish to go to the underworld need a golden bough obtained from the Cumaean Sibyl. Charon is the son of Erebus and Nyx. He is depicted as an sulky old man, or as a winged demon carrying a double hammer. He is similar to the Etruscan (Charun).

Cerberus

Cerberus or Kerberos, In Greek mythology, "demon of the pit") was the hound of Hades, a monstrous three-headed dog (sometimes said to have 50 or 100 heads) called a hellhound. Cerberus guarded the gate to Hades and ensured that spirits of the dead could enter, but none could exit (additionally, no living person was to come into Hades). Among his siblings are Chimera and the Hydra. He is the offspring of Echidna and Typhon.

Hercules' final labor was to capture Cerberus, which he did by wrestling it into submission. Orpheus used his musical skills to lull Cerberus to sleep. Hermes put him to sleep with water from the river Lethe. In the Greek Oracle of the Dead at Cumae in southern Italy, the recently excavated subterranean shrine was found to contain chains fixed to the wall for three large dogs before the entrance to the shrine of Hades and Persephone. The three dogs would have represented Cerberus in this ancient temple.

A hellhound is a demonic dog of Hell, found in mythology or in fiction. Hellhounds typically have features such as an unnaturally large size, a black fur color, glowing eyes, super strength or speed, ghostly or phantom characteristics, and sometimes even the ability to talk. They are often assigned to guard the entrance to the world of the dead or undertake other duties related to the afterlife or the supernatural, such as hunting down lost souls or guarding a supernatural treasure.
The most famous hellhound is probably Cerberus, the hound of Hades from Greek mythology. Hellhounds are also famous for appearing in Celtic mythology as part of the Wild Hunt. These hounds are given several different names in local folklore, but they display typical hellhound characteristics. How the Internet Has Changed The Ghost Hunting Techniques Of The Ghost Hunters

From the new fad of actual Virtual Ghost Hunting to all the latest news and info that you could hope to have. The internet has brought many changes to the research and understanding of all that is considered paranormal research and investigation. And it has also changed over the years how Grant and Jason hunt for the elusive ghosts they find. They also have a great paranormal fan site that examines paranormal claims and evidence they gather with a critical eye.

Many of us can't wait until Halloween to see the shows actual live Paranormal Investigations. Not only are they fun for them but for those of us that can't get out and hunt for actual ghosts for whatever our reasons are.

Each year they host their live show with special guest and an hours and hours of virtual ghost hunting to our personal delight. Ghost Hunters is a reality television series featuring Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, who work a day job as Roto-Rooter plumbers and by night investigate places that are reported to be haunted. And we the public with our scrutinizing awareness replay every scene until we see or believe what we want to believe.

Many of us in the paranormal field have changed our methods because of how we see T.A.P.S. performing each week. Many think they give us a bad name. And when watching the show you realize that they may lack professional ethics or they are just too scripted.

The show debuted in October 2004 on the American Sci-Fi Channel. It should not be confused with the original 1996 Inca Productions show Ghosthunters produced for the Discovery Channel. The format was sold to the US to become Ghost Hunters. The only remaining link between the two shows is presenter Ian Cashmore who anchored the UK/Europe show. Cashmore piloted the U.S. show, but chose not to remain part of the US venture after he filmed the promos.

Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, along with other team members who belong to the group they founded, The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), investigate locations of interest by using various electronic equipment which they believe is capable of detecting paranormal activity.

When investigating a location, TAPS team members first survey the property with its owners, who describe their experiences at the site. Next, the team sets up electronic equipment in the apparent paranormal "hot spots." The TAPS team then spends several hours taking EMF and temperature readings, recording audio for EVPs, and filming with digital video cameras. Many times, they will even try to verbally coax the "ghosts" into responding, while recording. Afterwards, the team spends several hours analyzing all of the data for signs of possible paranormal activity.

A few days after reviewing the information, Hawes and Wilson discuss their findings with the location site owners, offer suggestions for dealing with any apparent activity, and answer any questions the owners may have. And now we the viewing audience now can buy the DVD's or watch a youtube of the actual evidence over and over again to analyze it at our leisure.

Since the show began airing, TAPS has recorded thousands of hours of audio and video data. Most investigations, according to TAPS, turn up cold with very little, if any, paranormal activity occurring. The ghost hunters claim to have several good recordings of strange mists, odd lights, moving objects, and shadowy figures that manifest before the camera and disappear quickly - all highlighted at the end of the show.

TAPS does not believe every piece of evidence gathered is proof of the paranormal. To lend credibility to their investigations, the team tries to debunk what they find and look for reasonable explanations for things such as "cold spots" (that may be drafty windows), "moving objects" (that may have been accidentally bumped or tugged), "phantom lights" (that may be reflections of light from a passing vehicle), and "strange noises" (that may be a thumping branch or vermin in the walls).

In addition to the investigative aspect, the show highlights personal conflicts and relationships among members of the TAPS team, which may be why the Sci-Fi Channel categorizes the show as a docu-soap. In earlier episodes, part of the hour showed Jason and Grant during their plumbing job or personal lives but that has diminished since then.

With the many videos and ghost Cams on the web we are able to watch for all the truths and supposed sightings of ghosts monsters and what ever goes bump in the night. The computer has become one of the most cherished tools any Ghost Hunter could own.

TAPS' equipment includes digital thermometers, EMF (electromagnetic field) scanners, infrared and night vision cameras, handheld digital video cameras, digital audio recorders, and laptop computers.

The team has also experimented, in at least one episode, with a geiger counter during their investigation to see if it would register any anomalous readings.

Starting around the third season, the team has used the K-II EMF detector which uses a series of LEDs to meter the strength of an energy field instead of a numerical LCD display. During the Manson Murders investigation in particular, the team used a K-II meter in an attempt to get "yes" and "no" responses to verbal questions posed to a supposed entity in a room.

In the fifth season "Edith Wharton Estate" case, the team introduced two new pieces of equipment. One is a custom made geophone which detects vibrations and flashes a series of LEDs that measure the intensity of the vibration. The second is a new EMF detector that makes a buzzing sound while in the presence of an electro-magnetic field and the stronger the field, the louder it buzzes. In the episode, the geophones were recorded on video flashing to the vibrations of what sound like footsteps across a floor even though no one was supposedly in the room.

Other gear not typically shown on screen are an Ion Generator — a device that charges the air with electricity and theorized to help spirits manifest, and the White Noise Generator — an audio device that makes a static background noise and theorized to act as a catalyst for assisting entities in making EVPs.

Ghost Hunters has garnered some of the highest ratings of any Sci-Fi Channel network programming. From the start, the show has found an audience for its mix of paranormal investigation and interpersonal drama. It has since been syndicated on NBC Universal sister network Oxygen.

In the early shows, TAPS was headquartered in a trailer located behind Jason Hawes' house, and they drove one white van to investigations. Within one season, they had moved the entire operation to a storefront in downtown Warwick, RI, and acquired several new TAPS vehicles equipped with surveillance instrumentation.

In addition to their successful television venture, TAPS operates a website where they share their stories, photographs, and ghost hunting videos with an ever-growing membership list. Because of the popularity of the show, TAPS cast members have signed contracts with at least two talent agencies, Escape Artistry and GP Entertainment, to manage their appearances at lectures, conferences and public events.

In addition to the success of the television show, TAPS have ventured into the venue of radio broadcast hosting a 3 hour weekly show called "Beyond Reality". New episodes are broadcast every Saturday from 7 - 10pm EST, though sometimes may skip a week with possibilities of the hosts being busy with other ventures. The radio show goes into topics in a vast array of areas such as cryptozoology, spiritualism, UFO's, and ghosts. The show is hosted by Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes, and includes guest appearances from other TAPS members and special guests like John Zaffis, Rosemary Ellen Guiley, Chris Fleming and others which specialize in certain fields.

Ghost Hunters has attracted various critics and skeptics, such as Joe Nickell of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, and Skeptical Inquirer author, Lynne Kelly, James Randi, and Benjamin Radford. The Skeptical Analysis of the Paranormal Society (SAPS) was founded with the intent to recreate and debunk segments of the show.

Unscientific methodology

Critics point to a lack of scientific methodology and critical examination in their investigations as well as questionable production aspects involving editing, action that is rarely captured on tape, and findings that are unsupported by evidence. Tools are used in ways that are not proven effective, or in ways in which they have been proven ineffective, such as infrared thermometers that are claimed to detect cold spots in the middle of rooms when such tools are able only to measure the surface temperature of objects.

Techniques with thermal imaging cameras, Geiger counters, electronic voice phenomenon, and EMF detectors are used with little or no explanation as to how the techniques have proven to provide evidence of ghosts or other entities. Concerns with regard to how the devices are used are common, such as how Benjamin Radford puts it in an article for CSI, "you may own the world's most sophisticated thermometer, but if you are using it as a barometer, your measurements are worthless. Just as using a calculator doesn't make you a mathematician, using a scientific instrument doesn't make you a scientist."

Accusations of faking evidence

Controversy followed the seven-hour long, live Halloween show on October 31, 2008 where at least two events took place that critics have attacked: One is where Grant Wilson, a lead investigator, has his jacket collar pulled down by an unseen force three times, all the while one of his hands remained suspiciously at his side which lead detractors to claim he was pulling a hidden string. Another is when a supposed disembodied voice tells the hunters, "You're not supposed to be here." Critics have claimed the voice sounded as if it was piped in from an external audio source. Video of the incidents have been meticulously scrutinized on various website's. In regards to the scrutiny, Grant and Jason defended themselves stating that they are accused of faking evidence all the time and maintain that everything in the show is real.

35mm CameraThe trusty workhorse of many a professional photographer, a good ol' fashioned film camera takes a little more skill to wield than its digital brethren. Learn to use it, however, and it'll pay off in spades. Film is easier to enlarge when processing an image (to spot all of these teeny tiny ghostly details), less erratic with its light sensitivity, and, maybe most importantly, it's harder to fake a film image.
Digital Audio Recorder When a ghost starts moaning or knocking on things, you want to make sure you get a nice, clean copy — not a tape full of muddy noises and audio flaws. That's why many ghost hunters choose a digital recorder over using analog tapes. With digital, you can also be sure you're picking up everything within and beyond the range of human hearing.
Digital Infrared Camera See-through apparitions aren't necessarily the most photogenic models around. For haunting visages invisible to the human eye, you'll want to pack an infrared-ready camera to keep tabs on sneakier phantoms. As you more or less have to keep an infrared sensor scanning continuously to make sure you don't miss anything, it's a good idea to send its feed to a hard drive where the footage can be stored and studied later.
Digital Video Camera Whether you're confronted with Casper the Friendly Ghost or something that looks like it stepped off the set of the X-Files, you're going to want to make sure you get all of it down. Digital video cameras offer a lot of flexibility when it comes to storing and capturing moving images. For instance, you can get one with plenty of internal space like a large hard drive built-in, or a model that records on several different formats, such as DVDs and MiniDV, so you can swap on the fly and never run out.
Digital Thermometer Ghost sightings often happen fast and in a major way. If you don't want to miss anything, you'll need more than just visual and audio equipment to record all relevant data. Setting up a digital thermometer is usually a good idea. Temperature changes frequently accompany the presence of the paranormal, and a digital thermometer can stream continuously updating measurements to your equipment.
Electromagnetic Field Recorder Similar to the digital thermometer, the EMF recorder will keep you abreast of whatever electromagnetic fluctuations occur during a sighting. EMF recorders aren't employed by all ghost hunters — many discount them because all kinds of things (televisions and other appliances, for example) emit electromagnetic fields, but the thorough ghost hunter is the one with the most evidence.
Night-Vision Goggles Unfortunately, given the creepy nature of hauntings, many ghosts won't want to come out until it's good and dark. You don't want to stumble around when candlesticks are flying across the hallway, so you should probably take a pair of night-vision goggles for low-light situations. In absolute darkness you'll need infrared, but for most situations the light amplification night-vision specs provide should be more than enough.

Ghosts In The Bible

2 Corinthians 5:1,6-8 “For we know that if our earthly house this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” “We are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” Many people who argue against Ghosts as unbiblical point to verses 6-8. When we are dead, we are with God in heaven. So according to this view, there can be no such thing as a real haunting because the soul and spirit are in heaven at the point of death. However that would be taking the scripture out of context. The Apostle Paul is writing this in a Roman jail. He is about to die. Christianity is an illegal religion at this time and those who align themselves with the group face torture or even death. Paul talks to the church at Corinth to ease their troubled hearts. Our lives are but passing, but the afterlife is eternal. Our mortal body will die, but we will be given a new one that is immortal. The Apostle Paul desires to be in that new immortal body so he can physically be with the Lord. According to Systematic Christian Theology this new body is not given to us at death, but rather at the resurrection of the just or the ‘rapture’. The rapture is the Christian theological belief that Jesus will descend from heaven at the end of days and resurrect all His followers just as He was resurrected after He died. The mortal body will be replaced with a supernatural immortal body. Two of the main Biblical passages that give details about this are 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. These passages are lengthy so I will not include them in total here, if you wish to read them in their entirety please click on the passage and you will be redirected to them. But these passages are telling when it comes to what happens to the persona after death.

1 Corinthians 15:51 reads “Behold, I will tell you a mystery; We shall not all sleep but we shall be changed.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13 reads “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.” The term ‘sleep’ is a euphemism for death in Christian Scripture (John 11:11-14). The writer for all of these books is the Apostle Paul, so rather than supporting the idea that when we die we are with God in heaven he states that those who die ‘sleep’. What does this mean? It refers to the body, not the spirit or soul. The body sleeps at death until it is changed into a new supernatural one at the end of days. So what happens to our invisible part, the spirit or soul after death? Can the spirit still roam the Earth after death? The Bible does talk about Ghosts, and the spirit of the dead returning to the earth. In the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel chapter 28:7-25 we see Saul King of Israel visit a medium when God does not answer him when war approaches. The prophet Samuel has died and King Saul asks the medium to bring up Samuel from the dead. The Ghost of Samuel talks to the King and tells him his fate is sealed just as he told him while he was alive. Verses 11-15 talk about the appearance of the Ghost of Samuel: Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” And he said, “Bring up Samuel for me.” When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!” And the king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What did you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth.” So he said to her, “What is his form?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a mantle.” And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down. Now Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” The Bible clearly states that this is the Ghost of the prophet Samuel. Nowhere in the text does it state that he is otherwise. The spirit is the disembodied essence of the man, and he is recognizable. He is ‘brought up’ from the earth by the witch of Endor, brought from the grave to their presence. According to the Old Testament, the concept of a Ghost or disembodies spirit of a deceased person is not only real, it is Scriptural. What about the New Testament? A lot of Theological concepts evolve between the Testaments, such as Grace, Forgiveness and a host of others. What about the concept of a Ghost? Does this evolve as well after the teachings of Jesus? Almost everyone has heard the story of Jesus walking on water, and if you ever went to Sunday School as a kid I am sure you additionally heard about Peter attempting to do the same and failing. This tale of trust and faith has been used for millennia to teach and encourage Christians. But just before the text talks about Peter’s attempt to come to Jesus on the water the text tells us something unusual: Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:25-27 The disciples thought Jesus was a ghost. And they were afraid. Now if ghostly apparitions are all demonic presences as some Christians report, why were the disciples afraid? Just a few chapters earlier Jesus had demonstrated how to exorcise evil spirits and then commissioned the disciples to go all over the land and do so. (Matthew 8:28-34, Matthew 10:1-4) Although not implicit in the text it would seem that they should have had some personal experience in exorcism by themselves. So why were they afraid? Because they believed in Ghosts-the disembodied spirits of the dead who still roam the earth. And not only that, Jesus did not rebuke them for thinking he was a Ghost, instead He just calmed them down and let them know it was Him. If the concept of a disembodied spirit is so unbiblical why did Jesus let his disciples believe such things exist without correction? Christian Scripture itself attests to the validity of Ghosts, and supports the idea that they are the disembodied spirits of the dead. Later Bible readers and teachers have read into the text their preconceived notions instead of reading from the texts and basing their ideas from the Scripture itself. Cults do the same thing to make their religious claims seem legit. But let no one fool you. Belief in Ghosts is Scriptural. And to turn a phrase that the Fundamentalists use against them I would say, “The Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it!”

Do the real Seven Gates of Of Hell Exist? Is there a real gate or a ordinary door that can bring us all physically straight to hell? Or a portal that can bring or lock away all that is a damnation to God? It is not until the beginning of canto 3 that Dante finally enters hell-- at least its outer region--by passing through a gateway. The inscription above this gate--ending with the famous warning to "abandon all hope"-- establishes Dante's hell as a creation not of evil and the devil but rather of his Christian God, here expressed in terms of the Trinity: Father (Divine Power), Son (Highest Wisdom), and Holy Spirit (Primal Love).

You may have heard of many places that claim to have the real "Seven Gates Of Hell" , but do they really exist?

The Seven Gates To Hell The Gates of Hell, Musée Rodin.

The sculptural ensemble was commissioned by the Directorate of Fine Arts in 1880 and was meant to be delivered in 1885. Rodin would continue to work on and off this project for 37 years, until his death in 1917.

The Directorate asked for an inviting entrance to a planned Decorative Arts Museum with the theme being left to Rodin's selection. Rodin admired Dante and was subjugated by the reading of the Inferno. He had sketches of some of Dante's characters before the commission.

The Decoratives Arts Museum was never built. Rodin worked on this project on the ground floor of the Hôtel Biron. Near the end of his life, Rodin donated sculptures, drawings and reproduction rights to the French government. In 1919, two years after his death, The Hôtel Biron became the Musée Rodin housing a cast of The Gates of Hell and related works.

The plaster original was restored in 1917 and is displayed at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. A series of plaster casts illustrating the development of the work is on view at the Musée Rodin in Meudon. Also in 1917, a model was used to make the original three bronze casts:

* The National Museum of Western Art[1] in Ueno Park, Tokyo.

Subsequent bronzes have been distributed by the Musée Rodin to a number of locations, including:

Abandon hope all ye who enter here! The supposed inscription at the entrance to Hell. In this Article I want to track down the real Gate or Seven Gates of Hell. Some say there is only one main entrance to the realm of the truly damned. Others believe the 7 gates of hell as a myth or local urban legend.

The Shakir Translation in English states:

Where Are The 7 Gates Of Hell Located?

Many tell that the Seven Gates of Hell or each Located on one of the continents. The seven traditional continents are (from largest in size to smallest): Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia.

That Means That there is one Gate of Hell for each Continent respectively.

The Gate to Hell in Egypt is located under the left paw of the great Sphinx. This Horrific Gate is known To be Called the Gate to The Underworld.

The Gate of hell in Asia is located in Near the Great Temple Mount In Israel. The Gate is called Satan’s Front Door. Some scholars will argue that this door was once in Rome and Moved to the Holy land when Israel Became a State 14 May 1948. It is Believed it took 2 thousand legions of demons and Devil’s to move the great gate because it is the most powerful and strongest doors that Satan has for gaining souls.

When it was Rome their were tow gates of hell On the continent and it is believe that the great Caesar’s had it originally moved there when they found it in The Holy Land originally.

The Gate to Hell located in Europe is thought to be in Pere Lachaise Paris Cemetery Paris is said to be a great grand gate with very notable significance. this gate is said to be the one that all great heads of state must enter through when they die. And through this gate World Leaders must be judged by the Devil first and not God.

The Gate to Hell in South America is located in Rio Near the Large Statue of Christ.

The North American Gate is Located at or near or at the Tomb Of the great Voodoo – Hoodoo Queen, Marie Laveau.

Legends and Lore of Illinois Vol. 3 Issue 1 tells that Lebanon Road is home to the “7 Gates to Hell,” seven railroad bridges (guarded by ‘hell hounds’) that allegedly lead to the underworld. Nighttime interlopers along Lebanon Road have woven a tale that a portal to Hell can be unlocked by passing through all seven bridges by midnight.

The Gate in Australia is said to be located in the Rookwood Cemetery, Greater Sydney.

There are also what is called the 13 lost Gates of Hell. A old legend tells that god made & more gates to confuse the Devil and scattered them in other cities through out the world. Only God knows where these are. At Times it has been said God himself might use one of these secret doors to gain access to hell. Some believed Jesus did and that is how he got in and out so easily with out the devil knowing it.

Many believe The Devil Knows about the supposed Gate to Hell in Galveston Texas and the one in Berlin Germany, and the one in the center of the crater of Mount Vesuvius. One of the full set of the 7 gates of hell, is supposedly in York. Pennsylvania.

Their is also one in Mount Fuji. And the one in Russia’s cold Siberia. But the rest or lost to him. Those the two or three or four he needs to locate, many say, “If he finds them the world will end immediately.”

Consider that the Hell is on earth, that Satan fell to Earth and its not hard to see why Earth is such a miserable place to be. Starvation, torture, war, any number of the terrible things humans do to humans.

Electromagnetic Fields - Your Health and the Paranormal

Electromagnetic fields can be man-made or natural in their source. Many paranormal investigators believe EMF fields can help determine the presence of spirits, or ghosts.

Electromagnetic fields (known as EMF) are areas of energy that can be measurable by meters known as EMF meters. Where do electromagnetic fields come from? Predominantly electromagnetic fields come from high energy sources such as power lines, kinetic energy sources and nature (the Sun for example). There are other natural sources of EMF fields from limestone and quartz, which hold energy that is charged to it via many venues. You will also find lesser strength EMF fields in common household items such as microwaves (ever wonder why people with pacemakers can’t be near a working microwave? Electromagnetic Fields are why), the clock on your stove (check that with an EMF meter sometime) alarm clocks, refrigerators and other similar household appliances. You may also find that you have poor wiring in your home emitting a high EMF field.

So what is the big deal about an electromagnetic field? Remember the big cancer cluster lawsuits in the 70’s, 80’s and later? People living near power large transmission power lines seemed to have a higher than average rate of cancer. It was determined in some cases that the extremely high magnetic fields emitted by these power lines were the source of these health issues. How would an electromagnetic field affect you in an everyday situation in your home? Many people have a natural sensitivity to high levels of EMF. You can get headaches, nausea, excessive sleepiness, and even have hallucinations.

In more recent years, electromagnetic fields (EMF) and the meters that detect them have become more of a household word since the paranormal television craze has started. You see almost every paranormal investigator using electromagnetic field detectors to help determine if a place is haunted. The theory is that spirits are comprised of energy, and when the electromagnetic field detector starts to go off, a spirit may be near. However, this theory as a base leaves several holes in the collection of evidence. Many investigators do not know how to truly use an EMF meter (the planes the EMF meter can read , the axis to use, etc) and when an electromagnetic field is in fact detected, much care and caution must be exercised to determine the source of the field before calling it paranormal in nature.

You may find that the area you are investigating is rife with limestone and quartz deposits reflecting natural energy back to you, you may find underground power lines emitting higher than usual energy levels, or you may determine that a man-made object is causing the electromagnetic field.

What do the different levels mean? Handheld meters can read electromagnetic fields from .01 Milligauss (Mg)upwards of 999 Milligauss (Mg). To the homeowner, anything below 30 is probably not much of an issue. Above 30 Mg, people with electromagnetic field susceptibility may start having headaches, delusions, and sleepiness, all of the previously mentioned symptoms (or any one of them, and others not mentioned in this article). To the paranormal investigator, anything from .03 to 4.0 is interesting, in which this range is believed to be the range a spirit can manifest itself. Anything above 4.0 Mg is almost always a natural or man-made source that can be determined with a little bit of debunking and education. Electromagnetic field meters can be purchased for as little as $25 upwards to over $300, depending on what levels you’re trying to detect, and what other features you may need.

Mankind has always had an interest in life after death, and more particularly, the "spirit world." From the first observed instances of "spiritual" activity- known as the "paranormal"- its followers have struggled with ways to document such manifestations. The degree to which they have succeeded has determined the level of interest in further research, as well as increased efforts to contact those spirits that they believe not only exist, but want to communicate with those of us on this side of the "veil."

During the heyday of Spiritualism (the mid 1800's-1920's), efforts to communicate with departed souls by way of séances and other means led to an exhaustive collection of stories, accounts , theories and the like, most of it gathered from eyewitness testimony or word-of-mouth. Throughout the early 1900's, photography was employed to "capture" images of spirits, in an attempt to further verify and prove to the world that the paranormal was more than mere conjecture- but with mixed results.

With the development of magnetic tape in the 40's and 50's, though, came a new way to capture evidence of spirit activity. Researchers found that playback of tape recordings (where there was no sounds to record), contained noises for which they could not account. Some of these were believed to be the voices of spirits from the "other side."

As more and more experiments were conducted, a small but dedicated group of scientists , technicians and psychologists came to believe that they had captured the voices of disembodied spirits attempting to communicate with the living. Everything from barely audible mutterings to full and coherent messages - some seemingly in code - were being heard. After ruling out technical problems like radio interference and the like, the only possibility left was that of spirits communicating from beyond the grave.

Due to a renewed interest in spiritualism, these manifestations came to be known as Electronic Voice Phenomena, or EVP, and in 1982, the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena was born. Founded by Sarah Estep, the AAEVP's mission was to increase understanding and awareness of EVP, and teach others about standardized methods of capturing it (http://en.wikipedia.org).

With increased public exposure to EVP existence came seminars, workshops and the formation of other societies dedicated to its study. Ghost hunting, a pastime formerly the stuff of folklore and the marginally sane, became the subject of television shows and movies , such was the general public's interest in, and acceptance of, the paranormal world.

Currently AAEVP boasts membership of 500 people across the United States and in 22 countries (http://www.aaevp.com), while tens of thousands of other EVP-related sites are scattered across the Internet.

The end result of EVP research and education has been a renewed interest in all aspects of paranormal activity, especially as it relates to the Spirit World- and nowhere is this enthusiasm more pronounced than within the community of the "Big Circle."

Tracing its beginnings to a small group of AAEVP recorders, the Big Circle's mission "is to support, educate, and inform all who have lost loved ones, especially children, focusing on the role EVP can play in healing and spiritual growth regardless of belief system" (http://bigcircle.aaevp.com).

If the discovery of EVP does nothing else but serve as a way of bringing peace to the suffering, it will have earned its place in history .
