Review: Attached on para-x.com

I listened to Attached for the first time last night, and I was very impressed.

The show airs on www.para-x.com, and I highly recommend it!

The show informs you about what things can attach itself to you and how to handle those situations.

Last night's show was on Elementals, and I found it very inspiring. So much so that I am going to work on an article about Elementals.

Interview last night on Ghost Divas

Last night I tuned into Ghost Divas; a paranormal internet radio show on srnlive.com.

The Ghost Divas had several guests on their show last night; one of whom was Brian & Michelle Harnois (Check out the site he has listed on his twitter page theparanormals.org) formerly of Ghost Hunters AKA T.A.P.S.

Brian was there to state his side of a situation that has I guess being going on for awhile. (I did't know about it until last night.)

And that situation involves Donna L, also formerly of Ghost Hunters AKA T.A.P.S.

Brian said "I put up with six years of crap from Grant and Jason."

Apparently as for Donna L, according to Brian, she had made some unacceptable comments.

Brian, the Ghost Divas, and guests Jeff and Shannon Sylvia, spoke their side of the Donna L situation, as well as their opinions.

According to the coversation on the program, apparently, Donna L. told a few people she was dying of Cancer when apparently she doesn't have Cancer.

Note:The above statments are what was talked about on the radio program.

Also, Donna L. has apparently made statements that the Ghost Hunters AKA T.A.P.S. has faked evidence for their television show Ghost Hunters on the SyFy Channel.

Note:Again I do not know if this is true or not. My own personal belief is that it is not true.

A brief online search did pull up a couple of interviews with Donna, where she did make statements implying that certain evidence on the Ghost Hunter television show might have been faked.

All in all it was a very good show and an interesting interview.

If you are interested in listing to the Ghost Divas I highly recommend them. And you can tune in by going to srnlive.com

Annie the ghost of UWMC

This report was found on W-FILES.COM

Did you know the UW-Marathon County has it's own ghost?

During the 1970's a female custodian by the name of Annie worked for the university. She was known for her habit of starting out her workday with a trip to the cafeteria for a morning cup of coffee and some friendly conversation. She was frequently joined in her quest for coffee by other members of the custodial staff, and while chatting before work Annie would occasionally slip into a distinctive laugh. Her colleagues described her laugh as sounding like a chicken cackling. Sadly, Annie died of cancer of the throat but, according to some, she never left campus.

Soon after her death several people reported hearing Annie's distinctive laugh in the building. Multiple witnesses heard the sound of a woman's laugh in the cafeteria. On more than one occasion two or more people were present and all recognized Annie's unique laughter.

The library director at the time said she "distinctly" heard a "woman's laugh" while in the cafeteria. When she turned to the custodian with her and asked if he had heard the laugh as well. He answered, "yes".

Annie's presence wasn't confined only to ghostly laughter. Custodians on the late shift reported hearing footsteps in the hallway above the maintenance office and break room. When they left to investigate no one was found. A custodian at the time related the following, "We would hear footsteps coming from the hallway above the break room and a couple of us would run up different staircases to try and trap whoever it was between us, but when we reached to top of the stairs there would be no one there. This happened quite a lot."

Another custodian described the following, "Sometimes when I am in the break room at night I hear the sound of, what sounds like, a wooden chair being dragged across the tile floor above, but when I go up to check it out there is nobody there." As in the previous case more than one person has heard this phantom chair dragger.

Does Annie still haunt the halls of UW-Marathon County? Who is to say, but I, for one, like to think she does.

Grand Theater, Wausau

Built in 1927 to replace the old Grand Opera House, the Grand Theater has been a Wausau, WI landmark for decades. Originally a vaudeville and silent movie house the Grand has changed functions over the years showing motion pictures from 1932-1985, and, after a renovation project in 1986, the Grand became the feature performing arts theater for north central Wisconsin.

Over the years the Grand has been host to numerous plays, movies, musical performances and, if the tales are to be believed, one or more ghosts.

The earliest reports of ghostly activity at the Grand are from the 1950's when workers reported movie canisters being moved from the upstairs projection room to the lobby. Over the years other manifestations have been reported including phantom footsteps, apparitions, electrical malfunctions, cold spots, and areas that are just creepy to be in.

The Wausau Paranormal Research Society launched an investigation of the Grand Theater in July of 2001. At that time the theater was undergoing a major renovation project, the theater will receive an addition and be linked to two other buildings as part of the "Arts Block" project, making conditions less than ideal for an investigation, but our hope was that the project might "stir up" the spirits of the building.

During our initial research we collected reports of the following paranormal phenomena at the Grand.

Many stagehands reported the sound of footsteps walking across the empty stage. When they would investigate the source of the footsteps could not be located.

A worker closing up the theater for the evening saw an apparition of a man appear along the back wall of the balcony. The apparition was seen in the exact spot where the door to the projection room had been located.

An apparition, again of a man, was seen in the lighting rack above the stage by a number of people over the years. In one case the apparition walked down the spiral staircase from the lighting rack and crossed the stage directly in front of two witnesses.

Lights in the projection area are often turned on when no one is around.

Various areas of the theater are reported to be "cold spots."

During the most recent construction project power would mysteriously shut off in one area of the basement. Electricians would test a wire and find it live, but when they tried to power equipment off of it the same line would be dead, only to become live again moments later.

A puddle would form in another area of the basement, when no source of water for it could be found.

Two staff members reported hearing "voices" coming out of a room behind the balcony. A search revealed no other people in the building.

The Wausau Paranormal Research Society decided to concentrate our investigation in two areas, the balcony and third floor offices, and the stage and lighting rack.

While taking background photos of the balcony I snapped a photo of an anomalous blob. I was using standard 35mm 400 speed film and did not see the blob at the time the photo was taken. A photo taken seconds later did not show the blob. When checking the negative the blob does appear on it. The photo does have some other development flaws on it, but the blob is something different. It should be noted that there was a renovation project going on at the time and the blob could very well be a dust particle.

The blob is in the center of photo and "appears" to be wrapped around the railing. (Photo is property of Todd Roll and cannot be reproduced without express written consent of Todd Roll.)

During our third visit we recorded some EVP in one of the spotlight rooms in the third floor office area. While setting up equipment in the room two members reported hear "whispering" coming from the far corner of the room. After playing back the tape a voice can be heard saying "Don't come back over here." The origin of the voice could not be determined at this time.

The Wausau Paranormal Research Society plans to visit the Grand Theater early this year (2002) to conduct a further investigation of the phenomena reported.
