H.P.I.’s Shannon McCabe’s Ghost Hunting Gear Guide

Article from @ http://www.hauntedamericatours.com/haunted/SevenDeadlyghosthunting.php

In this incredible world of paranormal investigation, I get many calls and emails as to what people should buy to get started in ghost hunting. I started a list of items that HPI cannot live without. We’ve researched and tested the items for you and really like how they work. You do not need to spend a ton of money to get started. Here are a few of my favorite toys, where to get them, and for how much…

Electromagnetic Field Meter- meter, (sometimes referred to as an EMF Detector) is a scientific instrument for measuring electromagnetic radiation.

There are many different types of EMF meter, but the two largest categories are single axis and tri-axis (or Trifield Meters). Single axis meters are cheaper than a tri-axis meter, but take longer to complete a survey because the meter only measures one dimension of the field. Single axis instruments have to be tilted and turned on all three axes to obtain a full measurement. A tri-axis meter measures all three axes simultaneously, but these models tend to be more expensive.

Electromagnetic fields can be either AC (Alternating current) or DC (Direct current). An EMF meter can measure AC electromagnetic fields, which are usually emitted from man-made sources such as electrical wiring, while Gauss (Trifield) meters measure DC fields, which occur naturally in the earth’s geomagnetic field and are emitted from other sources where direct current is present.

You can find EMF and Trifield Meters on Ebay for about $40.00(EMF or K2), and $150.00 (Trifield)

Digital Audio Recorder- Any quality digital, (or tape) recorder will work. But I highly suggest a digital one with a USB port so you can upload your evidence to your computer for analysis. First and foremost while collecting EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon be in a quiet area, and turn on your recorder. I like to do my recordings in short stints* so it makes them easier to go through on the computer. You can use a program called Audacity to go through your audio and turn your EVP into an email able file. Many investigators swear by an external microphone, I’ve found it to not be that necessary. Digital Recorders are available at Radio Shack for about $35.00 or on up to about $80.00 for a higher quality. I love my Olympus VN-3100PC it’s cheap, very easy to use, and has a ton of recording space.

The EVP method I speak of has been coined the “McCabe Method”© of gathering EVP’s. I did not coin this myself, but many of my H.P.I. investigators use the method and find it to be very effective in collecting ghostly voices.

Step 1- Hit record on your digital or tape recorder.

Step 2- Speak to the entities you’d like to contact.

Step3- Wait 15-30 seconds then hit stop.

Step 4- Play back the recording immediately. If you have something then hoorah! If you have nothing continue with the steps a few more tries then move on to another room or location.

The theory behind all of this is: You walk into a room, you see (or don’t see) a person standing there. You say “hello”. They answer you back immediately; they usually won’t wait two hours to say something, right? It works well for getting intelligent haunting activity and validation to your question. Don’t get me wrong, leaving a recorder running is a great way to catch sounds and voices, but it just doesn’t work for a gal with ADD. I need instant gratification and the “McCabe Method”© does that for me.

Audacity Sound Editing – Free online software to help you with your EVP editing. www.audacity.sourceforge.net

Digital or Tape Video Camera w/ Night Shot- A great tool to help you capture your video evidence. Used in conjunction with a little monitor can be loads of ghostly fun. Set your video camera on a tripod in the areas you think activity might be and wait to see what happens. I use a Sony 30GB Hard Drive recorder with infrared (about $400.00 on Ebay). It has served me well but other cameras are incredibly useful also. Fry’s electronics or Best Buy are excellent resources for all your recording needs.

Batteries- Spare batteries, nothing ruins an investigation like lost or missed data. Greatly varying prices for different brands, sizes and quantity in package. I prefer to use batteries that are rechargeable. Saves a ton of money in the end. Batteries with a self-contained power level gauge can make trouble-shooting problems with equipment in the field a bit easier. Rechargeable batteries available at Radio Shack for about $16.00

Pen/Paper- For recording any desired information or data. Some times you're not able to dictate into your audio recorder with out disturbing the investigation or because it is being used in another area. Write it down! Or if you are watching a monitor you can use the time stamp on the screen to tell you when the phenomena happened, jot that down. It makes going through your tape A LOT easier! Available at your own home for free!

Dowsing Rods-To use dowsing rods to find ghosts, most dowsers recommend using two L-shaped rods that have been made from brass or some lightweight metal. Some dowsers even used metal coat hangers, so there is really no standard material. The rods should be about two-foot long and bent into an L-shape, which fits into your hand. Then, hold the short end of the rod so that the longer piece points outward, away from your body. The rods should be held loosely so that they have room to swing easily back and forth. After that, begin searching the building or location. It has been suggested that it’s possible that by searching, and by concentrating on what you are looking for, you can find ghosts, anomalous energy and some say even dimensional portals, using dowsing rods. Walk about the location and follow where the rods lead you. They are supposed to point in the direction of any energy they detect. Once you have discovered the energy source, the rods will cross, signaling that the area in question has been found.- Use copper wire from Home Depot $5.00.

Infrared Thermometer- Infrared contact-free digital thermometer. This type of thermometer uses light at the infrared end of the spectrum to reflect off of an object at a known rate giving the temperature without ever physically touching the surface. This thermometer is nice to use in the field as some have a backlit option with a large digital display that can read to the tenths or hundredths. Know that you can purchase models with or with out a lighted laser 'sighting' as they are typically called. This means on thermos with the laser sighting you are able to see a red dot when the thermometer is activated. On those with out the laser sighting you will save a little money and only lose the colored laser sightings but typically no other capabilities. About $15.00-45.00 on Ebay.

Frank’s Box/ Spirit Box- This is one of my favorite new toys. Psychic and TV star, Bobby Marchesso came up to Sacramento to film a new show with HPI called, Mysterious Realms. He brought up his Frank Box and we had a really great time with it. It was a simple AM/FM hand held radio hooked up to a pair of small speakers. We were able to ask questions to the entities and get immediate responses back that we could document on camera. It was a pretty incredible toy. I highly suggest picking one up for about $50.00 on Ebay. Or if you are electronically inclined, use Frank’s plans and build one for your own! http://www.ghost-tech.com/adobe/Franks_box_6-19.pdf

And last, but certainly not least…

Thermal Imaging Camera- This particular piece of equipment shows and records temperatures and temperature fluctuations in forms of colors. Most of these units are looked through much the same way a video recorder is to view the image. Some units have jacks that allow for the connection of an external separate viewing monitor. Some of these jacks can be used to record what images are viewed and if looking at making the investment we would highly recommend it having this option. The entry-level price range for these meters is going to get you a gray scale temperature difference viewfinder. Basically you will be able to see the image you are pointing it at in different shades of black and white but with no temperature read out. Some other features of the higher end models will have features such as being remote controlled and on unit recording capabilities. These cameras are available through Flir and can range from $6,000.00 to over a Million Dollars!

There are many items that you can find around your own home that you can use. Everyone nowadays has a camera, get out and start taking photos… You never know what you’ll find. Ghost Hunting is like a “box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna git”.

We all should know these rules as a level of professionalism. Just like not brining fireworks, alcohol, or pit bulls to hunt ghosts with in dark cemeteries.

We all know not to ghost hunt alone, do drugs like marijuana, heroin, hashish, cocaine or crack while seeking out paranormal forces. But some medications one might take by doctors prescription seem to have a effect on paranormal evidence gathering. They should actually put a warning on some medications like please don't take EMF readings or operate ghost hunting equipment while taking these drugs.

We all know a woman should never ghost hunt while pregnant. Just a man should never ghost hunt when he's horny. Don't we?

10 Rules Women Should Follow When Ghost Hunting

  1. You should always wear good solid shoes. A good pair of shoes can save your life. Never wear sandals, flip flops or open toed shoes to a real ghost hunt. Many wear good walking comfortable shoes such as Doc Martians, Running shoes, loafers. ghost hunter Mallory Hoto says she wears pups or cha- cha heels. She feels that both are safe and worth the investment Her ghost hunting cha- Cha Heels are comfortable and able to match her outfits.
  2. Clean Underwear! This is the real reason you should always wear clean underwear. Ghosts are often attracted to the smells and bacteria that these garments contain. Especially the panties of women. Yes they will actually haunt the garment. There is nothing worse then a real ghost digging around in your drawers while trying to hunt for ghosts. Many ghosts are known to give Male and female ghost hunters alike wedgies, or a goat in your garden. All of us should know by now that perverted ghosts are always attracted by body odors. This is why many male ghost hunters hate hunting with flatulent Paranormal investigators because these individuals are prone to being possessed by an anal ghost.
  3. Never ghost hunt when on your menstrual cycle. Or if you have a yeast infection. Don't ghost hunt if you have just given birth, miscarriage, hysterectomy or sexually active in the last 24 hours. Vaginal or womb ghosts are said to prey on woman with these pre existing conditions. If you have recently had an abortion, cyst removed, or a vaginal piercing then you should wait at least 6-8 weeks before resuming the hunt. The same goes if you had any type of major surgery - facelift, boob job or vaginal DNC.
  4. Never wear dangling earrings. Real ghosts have been known to rip them from persons ears causing a trip to the emergency room. The same for nipple piercings, tongue, navel and septum.
  5. If you are a new mother leave your infant at home. You should never bring small children under the age of 12 to a ghost hunt. Nor the elderly, criminally insane, or mentally impaired. If you must bring a new born with you on a ghost hunt never breast feed your infant While collecting EVP's.

  7. Never dress like a tramp or a haunted ho' when ghost hunting. Always where solid under garments, no halter tops, mini skirts, hot pants, or daisy dukes. It's better to dress like your going to church or a funeral. Provocative attire attracts ghosts and spirits and even demons that might try to possess you and use you. And the same goes for dressing up like Grandma Deisel Dyke. Lesbian ghost Hunters and Paranormal Investigation teams will tell you out right that wearing your normal look can attract ghosts to you if your a transgendered or drag king styled individual.
  8. Never bring personal firearms or weapons on a ghost hunt. Hand Guns, Machete's, knives over 6 inches, Glass containers or assault riffles. Real ghost have been known to use them and turn them on their owners.
  9. Personal hygiene is import! You should never wear colognes, perfumes or flavored lip gloss on ghost hunts. Don't use Vagisil, many believe this products attract womb ghosts. If you need to be using it stay home! If you need to or must douche before an actual Paranormal Investigation use vinegar and water only.
  10. Never ghost hunt if your pregnant! This is a big no-no! The pheromones and quality of your hormones is often thought to cause ghosts to react wildly or even harm an unborn child.

10 Rules Men Should Follow When Ghost Hunting

  1. Make sure that you are not thinking of sex. Many ghost hunting guys will tell you that they usually toss one off an hour or two before the investigation to relive the tension. One should never have a sexual relations or masturbate at a real haunted location, before, during or after. Many ghosts often will follow you home or even use the energy for their own purposes. Besides it is not polite to have sexual acts performed on the property of individuals you do not know. Never ghost hunt when you’re dating another person on your team or sexually attracted to them. Sexual tensions have been known to create or even aggravated paranormal phenomena that is not usually connected to the haunting. Many ghosts are said and thought to feed off this type of special sexual energy. Weak ghost get stronger evil ghosts get meaner. Sexual tension between male and female Investigators can ruin an investigation in many ways. Actual gay or Lesbian ghost hunters seem to be prone to finding more intense hauntings then their heterosexual counterparts. Many in the field today believe it is because of the sexual tensions between the investigators feeding the spirits ghosts are demons. But this is not the actual reason that many think this happens. Some state that homosexuals or those with these tendencies are more apt to witness strange phenomena on a higher level then those individuals that are hetro. A bi-sexual ghost hunter is more apt to have ghost encounters more frequently then a straight man at the same location. Many believe it is their sexual tenseness that brings the ghosts out to play. Chatter at Tapscon a year or two ago was that many are beginning to believe that "Real Gay Ghost Hunters" make the Best ghost hunters in the world!
  2. You should always ghost hunt with a full stomach. Men seem to be more prone to suffer from ghosts infesting their stomachs. A hungry ghost hunter can also be a distraction on an investigation also. If eating before ghost hunting causes you flatulence, then you might want to hunt with someone who can stand your farts. Or at least like they way the smell. Or you could always play my favorite game. "Guess What I ate?"
  3. Never ghost hunt in your underwear! No matter how comfortable it makes you, please keep your clothes on! Nude ghost Hunting should be left to those that are adept in the field. The "New ghost Hunt Naked" fad of nude or naked ghost hunting is not new. Yes it goes back to the days of the Romans. Many do not publicly endorse it as a way to discover real spooks. But the idea persists that ghosts are nude. And since they are nude they do not see you unless you are too! If you practice "Naked or Nude Ghost Hunting", then make sure your clients and others in your group are aware of it and know that it is part of your investigation.
  4. Never use the haunted clients restroom facilities or toilets to defecate in unless it's an emergency. Urination is cool and always lift the seat and wipe up the splatters.
  5. Never go ghost hunting with new Piercing. Genital, Lip, Septum, or Nipples. Many ghosts will find you fascinating and often choose to follow you home. Some ghosts have been known to rip them out of the ghost hunters flesh just to get across the point that you’re in their territory.
  6. Never ghost hunt with a fresh tattoo! Many ghost are aware of the smell of blood, and often will be attracted to the inked individual and haunt them more then the actual location. Sure you get evidence but this is not the usual actions or type of encounters the ghost usually do.
  7. Never take off your shoes at a haunted locations. Foul foot odor is said to attract ghost as well as dispel them. But the call is yours but if your feet really stink bad then you might offend others on your team. Foot fetish ghost often are attracted to dirty socks sweaty feet and toe cheese. If this is the particular ghost you’re searching out then by all means do so.
  8. Never wear wife beaters, or tank tops to hunt ghosts in it is un professional. And always take off your hat if you wear one when entering a Haunted location. It shows your serious about the investigation as well as polite.
  9. Don't wear STRONG smelling deodorants, colognes or foot powder or balms. Jock itch medicine is a definite no-no. If you are suffering from athletes foot, crotch rot (Jock Itch). It is better to stay home and treat it first then go out and hunt for ghosts. Many spirits will see a person itching and cause the individual to itch more. The same goes if you have head lice, or a bad case of crabs. Medications to treat these problems have odors that often will incite ghosts to haunt you in ways you don't want to have happen to you.
  10. Never ghost hunt if you have been recently possessed by anal, mouth stomach or ear ghosts. If you have been recently possessed or thought you were then stay home. You might be ripe for another overpowering encounter that might just take its toll on you this time.
  11. Never ghost hunt after a major surgery, dental work, or Dermalogical procedures. And if you don't know why then please don't try it ! Yes you have been fore warned!

Here is Ghost Trackers www.ghost-trackers.org best list for common sense items when Ghost Hunting:

  1. Keep a clear head. This means no alcohol consumption or use of any controlled dangerous substances.
  2. No smoking. The possibility of it being photographed and mistaken for ectoplasm is high. In addition, if you're too busy inhaling that acrid tobacco smoke, your nose is dead to any paranormal smells you might encounter.
  3. DON’T TRESPASS! Always have permission to conduct an investigation.
  4. Don't jump to conclusions. You always want to make sure you consider all possible explanations, natural or otherwise.
  5. Be open-minded. If you think there are no ghosts, then obviously for you, there won't be. Skeptics bring negative energy that could compromise an investigation.
  6. Research. Always make sure you try to find some information on the place you are investigating before you investigate. The history of a place, be it a town or a single home, can shed some light on why a place may be having paranormal activity.
  7. Either remove the camera strap or wear it around your neck. It's amazing how many times camera straps have been mistaken for ghostly photos. In keeping with that theme, make sure long hair is pulled back, and all fingers are away from the camera lens. Simple, but important.
  8. ` Make sure all of your equipment is in perfect working condition. Dust and dirt buildup can cause problems. It saves you money overall to maintain clean equipment.
  9. Bring a flashlight with extra batteries. You never know when that flashlight, camera, recorder, scanner, (you see where I'm going) is going to run out of juice.
  10. Bring along a notebook so you can write down your observations. It is also a good idea to keep a log of your investigations. I recommend keeping track of moon phases, weather and solar weather.
  11. NEVER GO ALONE! Having more than one person insures that nothing will (hopefully) go unnoticed. It is also good to compare notes on an investigation and because you have more to fear from the living, there is safety in numbers.
  12. Write down your observations before sharing them. This insures that your story is not subconsciously altered by what someone else tells you.
  13. In cold weather, hold your breath while taking a photo. I've seen so many photos of "ectoplasm" that was nothing more than breath in cold air.
  14. Do not take photos while walking or driving along a dirt road or path. This can lead to photos of dust particles and not orbs.
  15. Do not take photos in rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, or fog. It may also be a good idea to keep track of the pollen count in spring and summer and avoid photos when the count is high.
  16. Remember you are out there to record paranormal activity and to have fun. But DO NOT be disrespectful in areas such as graveyards or old buildings. No horseplay or loud obnoxious behavior. Remember, this is not YOUR home.
  17. NO OUIJA BOARDS!
  18. Talk to the spirits and ask for their permission to take their photo. I also try to explain that I'm not there to be disrespectful but that I am trying to understand them.
  19. Do not take photographs with the camera pointing directly at the sun. This can create "sun dogs" (hexagon shapes) that are sometimes mistaken for orbs. This will also create "sun flares" where the red lines in your picture may occur that are confused for spirit energy.
  20. Don't take photos of reflective surfaces. This would include mirrors, glass windows, and even still pools of water.

The Seven Deadly Sins of Ghost Hunting

Article from @ http://www.hauntedamericatours.com/haunted/SevenDeadlyghosthunting.php

By Lonnie Crepple

There are of course the Seven deadly sins and they do apply to ghost hunters.

1. Deadly sin: Envy

Did a fellow ghost hunter get the paranormal EVP you'd been waiting for? Did your colleague surpass you -- again -- in getting in touch with the dead via a Franks Box? You should absolutely acknowledge others' achievements but don't use them as a standard with which to measure your own. When you're envious of someone else's ghost hunting successes, you naturally want to undermine his reputation and the way others gravitate toward him. But in the long run, you're only undoing your own reputation.

Salvation: Bury your envy and start focusing on building a reputation as a team player. Figure out how you can start turning your envy into passion or positive energy.

2. Deadly sin: Gluttony

More is not always better. Though everyone is anxious to get positive proof that will make others believe you that Ghosts are real, none of that will matter if you don't care who you plow through to get to the top. While it's definitely OK to ghost hunt responsibility, it's more important to maintain a balance.

Salvation: One of the most critical mistakes regarding gluttony is not considering your team enough, Kusy and Holloway say: "You don't need to belittle and diminish someone else ghost photo or paranormal investigation techniques or documentation to be noticed. Work with your ghost hunting team so that you are all noticed for innovation and productivity and paranormal evidence. Make sure that you are in the lead of building a positive team climate; making everyone look good on a project will make you look good as a team player."

3. Deadly sin: Greed

Everyone is guilty of wanting more: more money, more power and more responsibility. The problem comes when you try to use your ghost hunting evidence to punish others, demand their loyalty or take all the credit for the work that others have done.

Salvation: It's best to focus your goals on the long term. If you only concentrate on quick, short-term gains, you'll probably do well in the moment but you won't be able to extend yourself to the next level.

4. Deadly sin: Lust

Lust in the workplace isn't limited to a haunted cemetery romance. You might lust after a nicer prohibited haunted location or even do things you shouldn't. But, spending your time focused on what you don't have or others' paranormal work achievements rather than working to further your own is a sure-fire career killer.

Salvation: "What length will you go satisfy this lust?" "If it extends to deceptions, badmouthing your fellow ghost hunters or undermining the productivity of the team, then your emotions are ruling your actions with disastrous results. Go to your paranormal team leader and ask him or her to put you on a development plan that can segue you to that next new job in the organization."

5. Deadly sin: Pride

Personal success is your M.O. -- you have no problem taking credit for a great ghost photo, a EVP, EMf or Ghost video, even if it was a joint effort. You have the absolute belief that you're always right; you always want to be in control, and you think other people won't -- or can't -- do their jobs. While it's a good feeling to be right, no one is always right.

"When you are right and make sure that everyone else knows that they are proven wrong, you can be sure that you have lost their support in the future," .

Salvation: First, realize that building a reputation for getting things done right is to build a team that does it right together, they say. Remember that sharing credit with everyone who deserves it makes everyone accountable. Finally, give praise where it is due and you'll be shocked how much comes back to you, Kusy and Holloway say.

6. Deadly sin: Sloth

If you're lazy, complacent or indifferent about your ghost hunting, you're on the express train to nowhere. Just because you've been successful in the past doesn't mean that success will carry you through the rest of your career. Sloth becomes toxic when there's a continued pattern that becomes counter-productive to workplace productivity.

Salvation: There are several steps you can take to keep your laziness in check, Kusy and Holloway say. First, take stock of yourself and determine where the source of your laziness lies. Are you bored? Do you need to be more challenged in your role? Next, make a specific plan to increase your productivity at work. Figure out how you will measure your expectations and make sure it's feasible, they say.

7. Deadly sin: Wrath

Anger and malice benefit no one at a haunted paranormal investigation location. Harboring secret hatred or angst toward your fellow ghost hunters, colleagues or general paranormal environment will only create an atmosphere of negativity and abuse around you.

Salvation: Any pessimistic feelings you have toward co-ghost hunters or haunted location are bound to surface eventually. If you're angry with your home or personal life, figure out what is bothering you and then see if you can talk to someone about it. If you're unhappy with your ghost hunting experiences in general, it might be time to start looking for a new hobby like hunting for real chupacbras.

Daily Oracle Card Reading 12/5/13~Shielding~

This card is being given to you as a message from the angels. They want you to know they are watching over you at this time.

As you wonder why do I feel this way, the angels say, you are under attack by negative energies and they want to help Shield you from it.

We all face this, some on a daily basis, and it's important to learn how to shield yourself from it so it doesn't take over your life.

The technique is called Shielding, and it's very simple. When you feel an attack of negative energy simply stop what you are doing, and call in the angels and ask them to cloak you in their protective energy.

You may, at this time notice colors, like white or pale pink, or blue, this is the aura of the angels, and they are surrounding you, protecting you from harm.

They want you to know you are not alone, ask them for help with this situation, and allow their loving shielding energy to cover you in love.

Paranormal phenomena on the Internet

This article was found on http://www.helium.com

Perhaps when you think of reading information about the paranormal your mind turns to dark Edgar Allan Poe induced images. A long forgotten manuscript read by candlelight or book tucked away in a drafty castle might sound appealing at first, but the dim light isn’t good for the eyes, and you should avoid damp places.

Fortunately, your search doesn’t have to be so arduous. Information about terms, anecdotal stories, and methods of research into the paranormal are plentiful on the Internet.

Rowena Gilbert’s fondness for ghost stories has turned huge benefits for those with a similar interest. Gilbert is the original creator of Castle of Spirits a website anyone who loves first person accounts of spooky encounters intermixed with older legends and timeless classic stories. The site was started in 1998 and became incredibly popular quickly, even as Gilbert’s reputation as a thoughtful researcher grew. Sadly, she passed away in 2008, but the site now run by other enthusiasts carries on collecting stories from all over the world. New first person accounts are posted monthly and these stories along with those in the archive can fill many an hour. There’s also a section on the history of urban legends like Bloody Mary. You might want to have a few snacks close by before you settle in to read since time flies by fast especially on your first visit.

If you want to read up on famous ghost hunters The Atlantic Paranormal Society is the place to start, although admittedly this site is a bit on the busy side. Jammed packed with information on all sides it might take a few minutes to take it all in. There are articles on everything from the technical side of ghost hunting to the difference between ghosts and nature spirits. This is a great place for beginners to learn the terminology used by many in the field. You can also catch up on what is going on with the various members of the TAPS team you have become familiar with on SyFy’s Ghost Hunters. In fact, there’s a link to follow Jason and Grant on Twitter.

A combination of paranormal research information and good old fashion ghost stories can be found on the Prairie Ghosts American Haunting page. Links to events, books , tour information and more can be found on this website run by Troy Taylor. Happily, this is another spot where an enthusiast can get lost for an hour or more. Even the long time researcher might find a few tidbits of information on old stories like Resurrection Mary that offer a few surprises.

If you want to explore the paranormal side of Space, the best place to start is with Mufon.com. The Mutual UFO Network has been around since 1969 in one form or another, and their site is a treasure trove of information. The site is very easy to maneuver through with everything from events to current articles at your fingertips.

We have no way to know what kind of stories Mr. Poe might have come up with if only he could have pondered forgotten lore on a laptop rather than all those dusty books. But you have the wondrous ability of your computer and who knows where the power of your imagination and the Internet will take you.

Daily Oracle Card Reading

By Ladean Snograss

11/25/13~Truth~

This card is being given to you as a message from your Spirit Guides. They know that it's hard for you to live your truth, because you worry about what others will think, and you have a fear of being judged.

These feelings you are having are normal everyone has them, however not living your truth is denying yourself of your true self, and that isn't fair to you.

Your Spirit Guides want you to know that it is safe for you to step into the light and let your truth be heard.

Be yourself, say what's on your mind and live the life you want, and release any worries and fears to the Universe. This is your time to shine, to grow and blossom into the person you are meant to be.

Hiding in the dark corner won't bring you the joy and happiness you deserve. You are a light a bright precious light, let yourself shine.

Daily Oracle Card Reading

By Ladean Snograss

11/26/13~Your True Self~

This card is being given to you as a message from Spirit. You have been asking Who am I? And what is my Life's purpose? And spirit wants you to look within yourself and you will see.

Who you are isn't what's in your bank account, or the home you live in or the car you drive. Who you are comes from within your heart, and soul.

What sets your soul on fire? What makes you laugh? What is your passion? Once you can truthfully answer these questions, you will know exactly who you are and what your life's purpose is.

And once that happens, get out there and do what sets your soul on fire, do what makes you happy, and fulfill your life's purpose.

You will know without a shadow of a doubt when you are on your spiritual path, and never let anyone or anything knock you off of it. You are Divinely guided, take the hands of the angels, and let them show you the way.

11/27/13~Keep An Open Mind~

This card is being given to you as a message from the angels. You are wanting to connect with your soul mate, but you keep meeting people that you normally wouldn't be drawn to.

The angels are asking you to keep an open mind, because your soul mate may not be the type of person you typically are drawn to, and that's why you haven't found them yet.

Their is more to someone then their face or body, look deeper into their soul, and you will see the real person.

Your soul mate is looking for you as much as you are looking for them, so don't think they aren't out there, they are, you just need to open your eyes and heart, and feel their energy.

Notice conversations you have, notice how much a person makes you laugh, or makes you feel warm and cozy, like you've known them forever. Then ask the angels, Is this my soul mate? and wait for the answer.

...Blessings Ladean

Yule

By: Lauren C Dole

Yule (Yuletide) the 12 days of Yule:

Yule or Yuletide is a magical time of the year to pagans and Witches around the world. I could make this a long story but I choose to keep it as simple as possible. Yule is the festival that honors the cycle of nature and the Wheel of the Year. It is not just about the Holly king and the Oak king that figures into our Pagan and Witch beliefs but history as well, Dates very but with some research the dates I am posting are the dates most seen and used: Yule is a 12 day holiday or Sabbath and begins on (Mothers Night) .December 21st and ends 12 days later on Yule Night January 1st. It's the origin for the Christian 12 Days of Christmas are really the 12 days of Yule.

The Greenman

By: Lauren C Dole

Taking a look at Green Man

The Green man is as old as four thousand years. He has become intertwined in folk tales with “Jack in the Green”, ” John Barleycorn” and even “Robin Hood”, but each and every “Green Man” is different in the way the craftsman or the age interpreted him.

The “Green Man” is the dimly remembered symbol of an ancient spirit of Nature, recognized and revered by many civilizations and adopted by many religions.

His name means the Green One or Verdant One; he is the voice of inspiration to the aspirant and committed artist. He can come as a white light or the gleam on a blade of grass, but more often as an inner mood. The sign of his presence is the ability to work or experience with tireless enthusiasm beyond one’s normal capacities. In this there may be a link across cultures; one reason for the enthusiasm of the medieval sculptors for the Green Man may be that he was the source of inspiration.”

He is the symbol of the eternal cycle of Nature, the mysterious figure who dies and is reborn each year. The Green Man motif has many variations. Found in many cultures around the world, the Green Man is often related to natural vegetative deities springing up in different cultures throughout the ages. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or "renaissance", representing the cycle of growth each spring. Some speculate that the mythology of the Green Man developed independently in the traditions of separate ancient cultures and evolved into the wide variety of examples found throughout history.

Superficially the Green Man would appear to be pagan, perhaps a fertility figure or a nature spirit, similar to the woodwose (the wild man of the woods), and yet he frequently appears, carved in wood or stone, in churches, chapels, abbeys and cathedrals, where examples can be found dating through to the 20th century. The earliest example of green man disgorging vegetation from his mouth is from St. Abre, in St. Hilaire-le-grand, c 400 AD.

In the Germanic nations, such as Germany, Iceland, and England, depictions of the Green Man could have been inspired by deities such as Freyr or Odin, as both have many attributes of the later Green Men from throughout Europe , In Wicca, the Green Man has often been used as a representation of the Horned God, a syncretic deity that appropriates aspects of, among others, the Celtic Cernunnos and the Greek Pan.

Many forms of Neopaganism consider the green man to represent a common form of personal transformation in meditations or ritual. The icon of the face with leaves sprouting out is a representation of a personal visionary experience of "becoming" a green man or woman.

A good bit of fun is creating a Staff or walking stick using green man. Find a suitable stick to work with.( thank the tree for the gift and leave an offering of an apple ) You want a sturdy, thick stick that will be good as a hiking, or walking, stick. The best way to find the right stick is to go to the woods and look around, testing different sticks until you find one that's comfortable for you. Make sure the stick is wide enough to provide a good work space for you to carve on.

Decide what elements of nature you will combine with the human features. Make a rough sketch of your wood spirit so you have something to work from. Place your stick on a solid surface. Secure it to a table with a clamp if you have one available. Begin by using a small chisel and rubber mallet to notch out the rough shape of your wood spirit. The finished project should look like a bas relief, so you want to hollow out space, leaving wood to carve your spirit. The finished piece will look as if the spirit face is 3D and rising from the background.

Use a carving knife and the chisel in combination to for the face and whatever nature elements you've chosen for your wood spirit. A good way to get the wood spirit down is to form the human features first and then set the nature elements around the human form. Sand your wood spirit with light grain sandpaper until smooth. You can .finish it with a clear coat of varnish or even use acrylic paint to add color, although the natural look fits the wood spirit motif best.

The Element Of Earth

By: Lauren C Dole

Earth elements: Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo, It's common to hear someone described as "earthy." A earth element blends in with their natural habitat. They're sensual, meaning they engage with life through the five senses. earth signs can operate at a slower, more thorough pace than the other elements. They’re oriented toward what's real, and often this makes them very productive, able to see the fruits of there labor. But if there are no balancing elements, earth's extremes could lead to being a work-a-holic, hoarding of possessions, pettiness, getting stuck in the mundane and stubbornness. Earth signs can just as easily work their magic in urban places, since they're often centers of a certain kind of high-level productivity. The focus on the tasks at hand make them vulnerable to the "all work and no play, Earth signs are here to shape, manifest, cultivate and revel in Earthly delights. Their gift to others is bringing form to ideas, making them a balancing partner for an idle dreamer with potential. They tend their own garden, and inspire others to make the most of theirs.

Earth: stable, mass, rooted, and stationary.

Positive aspect of the element of earth includes how it nurtures us, cares for us, and provides us with our needs. Working with the element of earth is strongly associated with agriculture and horticulture. Strong physical labor is enhanced by the element of earth, associated to the world of animal life, just likes it does for mankind earth nurtures and cares for all life. Physical sensations, the cycles of life and death, patience, steadiness, and well-being are traits all taught by the element of earth. Colors of the earth elemental include brown, black, and deep greens Symbols for the element include the Pentacle, Salt, Most Rocks and Gemstones, and Soil.

Winter is the Season related to the earth element.

Earth element presides over the North Quarter or compass point

Using the elements of earth in ritual or spell casting: Using gemstones or crystals as focus of the spell or ritual will provide endurance and strength. Kitchen witchery or herbal magic is strongly associated with earthen elemental magic’s. Using the soil of earth to bury representations of problems will allow the elemental to slowly dissolve the situation away, .time heals all wounds and earth is a master of time. The Element Of Air

By: Lauren C Dole

Air elements signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius

Those with planets in air signs use their minds to make sense of their lives. With Air, there's more space between the life lived and the mind. This can lead air signs to appear distant detached, remote, cool. Sometimes they'll try to talk their way through feelings or analyze a situation instead of encountering its full emotional weight. The gift of Air is flexibility, and their ability to experience life through many prisms. They're often excellent communicators, storytellers, interpreters and writers and often have a curiosity that keeps them out and about. He air signs are social creatures, Air signs are more vulnerable to the excesses of our mind-body split, and meditation practice helps.

Air signs calm the storm in the mind and sift through the rubble of their mind they’re great conversationalists because they're the keepers of so much knowledge, gossip, strange facts. Air is the element of the East, connected to the soul and the breath of life. If you’re doing a working related to communication, wisdom or the powers of the mind, Air is the element to focus on. Air carries away your troubles, blows away strife, and carries positive thoughts to those who are far away. Air is associated with the colors yellow and white, and connects to the Tarot suit of Swords.

Air is associated with various spirits and elemental beings. Entities known as sylphs are typically connected with the air and the wind - these winged creatures are often related to powers of wisdom and intuition. Water Element

By: Lauren C Dole

Water element: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces

Water signs are attuned to waves of emotion, and often seem to have built-in sonar for reading a mood. This gives them a special sensitivity knowing when to show love and heart at their best, they are a healing force that brings people together -- at their worst, they are psychic vampires, able to manipulate and drain the life force of those closest to them. Those with the water sign have to work harder than other elements to maintain their personal boundaries. Those with planets in Water signs are often assessing a situation by its undercurrents. It can give them an air of being aloof or even shy at first, but they're the warmest of souls when you've won their trust. The feeling experienced by Water signs can lead them into the arts. Some find release from their own personal dramas when they're able to express them as universal. As writers, musicians and actors, they help others make sense of the human experience. But this also happens in everyday life, since Water signs soften the edges of the mundane by padding it with emotional meaning. Water is a formless element on its own, and that's why those with this sign are so quickly shaped by their relationships to others,

  • Water is associated with the direction West.
  • Water Blue: Physical water, hydration, used for healing
  • Deep Blue: Mental or emotional water
  • Blue Black: Spiritual water, usually associated with "buried unconscious" issues

Water spells often involve liquid of some type, such as water, wine, or fruit juice. Pour the liquid you've chosen into a special goblet or chalice. Focus /on your objective, mentally projecting your intentions into the liquid. Water elements are normally very good at water gazing and or scyring .

Elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water:

By: Lauren C Dole

As Pagans and Witches our belief in the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. All animals, plants, stones, emotions, inanimate objects, and energies are combinations of these elements. Everything has its own unique blend of the four elements in it: everything that has substance has earth in it; everything that has energy in it has fire; everything that flows or has feelings has water; and everything that involves sound, Music , voice has air in it.

We call upon the elements when we do magic, healing, completing a task or cooking or just a simple walk anything where we would like to have the elements close in perfect balance for a specified purpose. Inviting the energies of the elements to come and assist with the task at hand.

Working with the (elemental s.) though I am a fire Element I walk closely with all of them, but there are some that can only work with one or even two elements, generally, they like people who embody the best features of their element.

You may wish to check your corresponding birth chart (astrology) to find your prim element then establishing working relationships with that .element, but please try working with all four after you become more comfortable. Some elements may be hard to work with but keep trying!

Fire Element

By: Lauren C Dole

Fire element planets are (Aries Leo Sagittarius) persons with fire signs have a simmering go-get- attitude, as they hunt for things that light them up. They're prone to sudden illuminating flashes of insight, like fire itself, they can flare up when inspired, and making them seem very passionate about life. They like to live big and feel they can win any fight, and often feel frustrated by mundane chores and duties.

Fire signs are known to be intuitive, and to rely on gut-level feelings. Going on faith in their inner guidance gets them far, but they have a tendency to skip over important details, or to be unaware of the emotional impact of their actions. Fire element act on instinct or "sixth sense," and that makes them look reckless to more cautious types.

Fire magic is good for working on increasing one's activity, for defensive magic, for protection, and of course, for sexual magic. It can destroy, but it also purifies. It can help bolster courage and gets rid of negativity. As one would expect, Fire plants tend to have a warm or hot taste (like chills). Fire scents are also warm, a good example being cinnamon or cloves any spicy plants or tree will help in fire spell work, other plants are Stinging, thorny, hot, or stimulating plants Colors are also on the warm side of the color wheel, in reds, oranges. .Yellows, fire elements love the sun and warmth. And tends to get moody on days that are cloudy and dark.

Ghosts & the Bible

Credit goes to: The Paranormal Pastor

It all comes down to what view the person has on the afterlife. Where do we go when we die? There are many references in the Bible that points to the destination of the person after death. Let’s first look at these.

2 Corinthians 5:1,6-8

“For we know that if our earthly house this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” “We are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

Many people who argue against Ghosts as unbiblical point to verses 6-8. When we are dead, we are with God in heaven. So according to this view, there can be no such thing as a real haunting because the soul and spirit are in heaven at the point of death.

However that would be taking the scripture out of context. The Apostle Paul is writing this in a Roman jail. He is about to die. Christianity is an illegal religion at this time and those who align themselves with the group face torture or even death. Paul talks to the church at Corinth to ease their troubled hearts. Our lives are but passing, but the afterlife is eternal. Our mortal body will die, but we will be given a new one that is immortal. The Apostle Paul desires to be in that new immortal body so he can physically be with the Lord. According to Systematic Christian Theology this new body is not given to us at death, but rather at the resurrection of the just or the ‘rapture’.

The rapture is the Christian theological belief that Jesus will descend from heaven at the end of days and resurrect all His followers just as He was resurrected after He died. The mortal body will be replaced with a supernatural immortal body. Two of the main Biblical passages that give details about this are 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. These passages are lengthy so I will not include them in total here, if you wish to read them in their entirety please click on the passage and you will be redirected to them.

But these passages are telling when it comes to what happens to the persona after death.

1 Corinthians 15:51 reads

“Behold, I will tell you a mystery; We shall not all sleep but we shall be changed.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13 reads

“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.”

The term ‘sleep’ is a euphemism for death in Christian Scripture (John 11:11-14). The writer for all of these books is the Apostle Paul, so rather than supporting the idea that when we die we are with God in heaven he states that those who die ‘sleep’. What does this mean? It refers to the body, not the spirit or soul. The body sleeps at death until it is changed into a new supernatural one at the end of days.

So what happens to our invisible part, the spirit or soul after death? Can the spirit still roam the Earth after death?

The Bible does talk about Ghosts, and the spirit of the dead returning to the earth.

In the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel chapter 28:7-25 we see Saul King of Israel visit a medium when God does not answer him when war approaches. The prophet Samuel has died and King Saul asks the medium to bring up Samuel from the dead. The Ghost of Samuel talks to the King and tells him his fate is sealed just as he told him while he was alive. Verses 11-15 talk about the appearance of the Ghost of Samuel:

Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” And he said, “Bring up Samuel for me.” When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!” And the king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What did you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth.” So he said to her, “What is his form?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a mantle.” And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down. Now Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?”

The Bible clearly states that this is the Ghost of the prophet Samuel. Nowhere in the text does it state that he is otherwise. The spirit is the disembodied essence of the man, and he is recognizable. He is ‘brought up’ from the earth by the witch of Endor, brought from the grave to their presence.

According to the Old Testament, the concept of a Ghost or disembodies spirit of a deceased person is not only real, it is Scriptural.

What about the New Testament? A lot of Theological concepts evolve between the Testaments, such as Grace, Forgiveness and a host of others. What about the concept of a Ghost? Does this evolve as well after the teachings of Jesus?

Almost everyone has heard the story of Jesus walking on water, and if you ever went to Sunday School as a kid I am sure you additionally heard about Peter attempting to do the same and failing. This tale of trust and faith has been used for millennia to teach and encourage Christians. But just before the text talks about Peter’s attempt to come to Jesus on the water the text tells us something unusual:

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:25-27

The disciples thought Jesus was a ghost. And they were afraid. Now if ghostly apparitions are all demonic presences as some Christians report, why were the disciples afraid? Just a few chapters earlier Jesus had demonstrated how to exorcise evil spirits and then commissioned the disciples to go all over the land and do so. (Matthew 8:28-34, Matthew 10:1-4) Although not implicit in the text it would seem that they should have had some personal experience in exorcism by themselves. So why were they afraid? Because they believed in Ghosts-the disembodied spirits of the dead who still roam the earth. And not only that, Jesus did not rebuke them for thinking he was a Ghost, instead He just calmed them down and let them know it was Him. If the concept of a disembodied spirit is so unbiblical why did Jesus let his disciples believe such things exist without correction?

Christian Scripture itself attests to the validity of Ghosts, and supports the idea that they are the disembodied spirits of the dead. Later Bible readers and teachers have read into the text their preconceived notions instead of reading from the texts and basing their ideas from the Scripture itself. Cults do the same thing to make their religious claims seem legit.

But let no one fool you. Belief in Ghosts is Scriptural. And to turn a phrase that the Fundamentalists use against them I would say, “The Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it!”

The True Meaning Of Halloween

By Lauren C. Dole

THE TRUE MEANING OF HALLOWEEN:.....We’ve all heard the allegations. Halloween is a pagan rite dating back to some pre-Christian festival among the Celtic Druids that escaped Church suppression. Even today modern pagans and witches continue to celebrate this ancient festival. If you let your kids go trick-or-treating, they will be worshiping the devil and pagan gods.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The origins of Halloween are, in fact, very Christian and rather American. Halloween falls on October 31 because of a pope, and its observances are the result of medieval Catholic piety.

It’s true that the ancient Celts of Ireland and Britain celebrated a minor festival on Oct. 31 — as they did on the last day of most other months of the year. However, Halloween falls on the last day of October because the Feast of All Saints or "All Hallows" falls on Nov. 1. The feast in honor of all the saints in heaven used to be celebrated on May 13, but Pope Gregory III (d. 741) moved it to Nov. 1, the dedication day of All Saints Chapel in St. Peter’s at Rome. Later, in the 840s, Pope Gregory IV commanded that All Saints be observed everywhere. And so the holy day spread to Ireland. The day before was the feast’s evening vigil, "All Hallows Even" or "Hallowe’en." In those days, Halloween didn’t have any special significance for Christians or for long-dead Celtic pagans.

In 998, St. Odilo, the abbot of the powerful monastery of Cluny in Southern France, added a celebration on Nov. 2. This was a day of prayer for the souls of all the faithful departed. This feast, called All Souls Day, spread from France to the rest of Europe.

So now the Church had feasts for all those in heaven and all those in purgatory? What about those in the other place? It seems Irish Catholic peasants wondered about the unfortunate souls in hell. After all, if the souls in hell are left out when we celebrate those in heaven and purgatory, they might be unhappy enough to cause trouble. So it became customary to bang pots and pans on All Hallows Even to let the damned know they were not forgotten. Thus, in Ireland, at least, all the dead came to be remembered — even if the clergy were not terribly sympathetic to Halloween and never allowed All Damned Day into the Church calendar.

But that still isn’t our celebration of Halloween. Our traditions on this holiday centers around dressing up in fanciful costumes, which isn’t Irish at all. Rather, this custom arose in France during the 14th and 15th centuries. Late medieval Europe was hit by repeated outbreaks of the bubonic plague — the Black Death — and she lost about half her population. It is not surprising that Catholics became more concerned about the afterlife. More Masses were said on All Souls’ Day, and artistic representations were devised to remind everyone of their own mortality.

All Souls DayWe know these representations as the "Dance Macabre" or "Dance of Death," which was commonly painted on the walls of cemeteries and shows the devil leading a daisy chain of people — popes, kings, ladies, knights, monks, peasants, lepers, etc. — into the tomb. Sometimes the dance was presented on All Souls’ Day itself as a living tableau with people dressed up in the garb of various states of life. But the French dressed up on All Souls, not Halloween; and the Irish, who had Halloween, did not dress up. How the two became mingled probably happened first in the British colonies of North America during the 1700s when Irish and French Catholics began to intermarry. The Irish focus on hell gave the French masquerades and even more macabre twist.

But, as every young ghoul knows, dressing up isn’t the point; the point is getting as many goodies as possible. Where on earth did "trick or treat" come in?

"Trick or treat" is perhaps the oddest and most American addition to Halloween, and is the unwilling contribution of English Catholics.

During the penal period of the 1500s to the 1700s in England, Catholics had no legal rights. They could not hold office and were subject to fines, jail and heavy taxes. It was a capital offense to say Mass, and hundreds of priests were martyred.

Occasionally, English Catholics resisted, sometimes foolishly. One of the most foolish acts of resistance was a plot to blow up the Protestant King James I and his Parliament with gunpowder. This was supposed to trigger a Catholic uprising against their oppressors. The ill-conceived Gunpowder Plot was foiled on Nov. 5, 1605, when the man guarding the gunpowder, a reckless convert named Guy Fawkes, was captured and arrested. He was hanged; the plot fizzled.

Nov. 5, Guy Fawkes’ Day, became a great celebration in England, and so it remains. During the penal periods, bands of revelers would put on masks and visit local Catholics in the dead of night, demanding beer and cakes for their celebration: trick or treat!

Guy Fawkes’ Day arrived in the American colonies with the first English settlers. But, buy the time of the American Revolution, old King James and Guy Fawkes had pretty much been forgotten. Trick or treat, though, was too much fun to give up, so eventually it moved to Oct. 31, the day of the Irish-French masquerade. And in America, trick or treat wasn’t limited to Catholics.

The mixture of various immigrant traditions we know as Halloween had become a fixture in the Unites States by the early 1800s. To this day, it remains unknown in Europe, even in the countries from which some of the customs originated.

Witches - All Souls - All SaintsBut what about witches? Well, they are one of the last additions. The greeting card industry added them in the late 1800s. Halloween was already "ghoulish," so why not give witches a place on greeting cards? The Halloween card failed (although it has seen a recent resurgence in popularity), but the witches stayed. So, too, in the late 1800s, ill-informed folklorists introduced the jack-o’-lantern. They thought that Halloween was druidic and pagan in origin. Lamps made from turnips (not pumpkins) had been part of ancient Celtic harvest festivals, so they were translated to the American Halloween celebration.

The next time someone claims that Halloween is a cruel trick to lure your .children into devil worship, I suggest you tell them the real origin of All Hallows Even and invite them to discover its Christian significance, along with the two greater and more important Catholic festivals that follow it.

Forgiveness Prayer

From: The Faeries and Angels Magazine

Forgiveness Prayer: “I forgive everything, everyone, every experience, every memory of the past and present that needs forgiveness. I forgive positively everyone. I also forgive myself of past mistakes. God is love, and I am forgiven and governed by God’s love alone. God’s love is now adjusting my life. Realizing this, I abide in peace.”

Removing the Evil Eye or a Curse

What you need:

  • Rosemary
  • Lavender
  • Black pepper
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger root
  • 6 white candles
  • 1 black candle

Directions

This spell should be cast during a new moon phase

  1. First cast a magical circle (hail to the guardians)
  2. Next face the north and sit and meditate
  3. Mix the herbs together in a fireproof bowl or cauldron
  4. Get up and light your candles clockwise, all except for the black.
  5. When you have lit your white candles, use a white candle to light the black candle.
  6. Then light the mixture of herbs and spices.

Say:

Whatever evil comes to me here
I cast you back, I have no fear
With the speed of wind and the dark of night
May all of your harboring take flight
With the swiftness of the sea
And all the power found in me
As I will, so mote it be

Then in a loud voice say

I cast you out!

And blow out the black candle as hard as you can (careful or any melted wax will blow off the candle).

Let the mixture burn, then draw an eye on the candle and wrap it in a white cloth and bury it in your back yard.

Lemon Uncrossing Spell

UNCROSSING SPELL..To Break a curse ( YOu can do yourself)

Lemon Uncrossing Spell by Gypsy Queen

(to break a curse)

In a sachet, combine the following herbs: St. John's Wort, sage, calamus and dragonsblood powder. Set the sachet aside for later. Fill an incense brazier with dragonsblood incense. On your altar, you will need an athame, a whole ripe lemon, 1 white and 1 black candle, a bowl of salt and a bowl of water. You will also need a glass or ceramic plate to set the lemon on when you are done. Do not use paper or wood.

Light the candles and the incense. Hold the lemon in both hands and visualize it magnetized and drawing the negative spell away from you. Dip your athame in the water then slice the lemon into three pieces. Set the athame aside and visualize the lemon drawing the negativity away from you and into the pulpy fruit. Repeat the following:

As sour as this lemon be
Charged and cut in pieces three
With salt and water I am free
Uncross me now, I will it be.
Let this lemon do it's task
It's cleansing power I do ask
As this lemon dries in air.
Free me from my dark despair.
Uncross! Uncross! I break his curse.
But let not my simple spell reverse.
I wish no ill, nor wish him pain
I wish only to be free again.

Take each lemon slice and dip it in the salt, making sure it is well coated. Set the slices back on the altar and say:

As it is my will, so mote it be!

Leave the lemon pieces on the altar where they can dry. Once dry the spell is complete and the lemon can be thrown away or buried. If however the fruit rots instead, you must repeat the spell. While waiting for the fruit to dry, keep the sachet with you at all times. It will help to protect you from the effects of the spells and turn away any negativity sent in your direction.

HOW TO REMOVE A CURSE YOURSELF

HOW TO REMOVE A CURSE YOURSELF by Gypsy Queen

Things that are required:

  • Candles
  • Match box
  • White cloths which have pockets
  • Personal items or belongings to the person whom you have cursed

The Process:

First of all you will have to make a full fledged plan. The best time to remove a curse is at night preferably on a full moon and, it can also be done on any night after midnight. It should be performed alone as it is safe in that manner. so, you will have to select a safe location.

You will first have to take a bath and wash your hair with odorless soap, dry yourself properly and dress up in white clothes. Use of perfume and jewelry is completely prohibited.

Gather small personal items and white candles; take out a small piece of white cloth and short piece of string, keep these items together in the pocket of your garment. Take them out only at your chosen abandoned place after midnight.

Make your self familiar with that place, do not make any kind of noise and keep yourself calm. Take deep breaths and concentrate or meditate on the person of concern at that time.

Take out all the stuff like personal items, string, fabric from your pocket, place them at the centre of the fabric and tie it with a string. Hold these items in your left hand and put the candle in your right hand.

You will follow this ceremony as it is if you want to get rid of curse. Put the candle in front you, slightly tilted towards you and keep repeating this chant at least seven times while looking at moon.

“Curse of the evil eye
Under my wrath today you die
Burn the words, to hell they go
With ease shall your energy now flow?”.

After repeating it seven times, open your eyes and put the tied piece of .cloth in the ground where the candle has been dripped. Once you are finished with this process you can just relax because after that you will be free from the curse.

  • poppet made out of green cloth, leave the head open chamomile for money
  • rosemary for luck basil for success needle and thread
  • Directional elementals (earth, incense for air, fire, water)
  • Altar Devotion, Casting the Circle

As you walk around the circle three times, imagine a green, soothing mist trailing from your fingers, enveloping you and enclosing your magic circle.

"I conjure the magic circle
I am safe within the Goddess' womb
A sacred place, a world apart
Where enchantment births and magic starts
With Air and Fire, Water and Earth
I circle round the Mother's girth This circle is sealed"

Drawing Down the Moon

Stand holding your athame, legs slightly apart, arms at your side. Breathe deeply. Raise the athame to your lips, holding it with both hands, and then point it toward the moon. Feel the energy of the moon move through the athame, down your arms and into your whole being.

Invocation to the Goddess

"Wondrous Lady of the Moon Mistress of all magic and protectress of all Wicca
Life-giving mother I greet you at the waxing of the moon's power I invite you to
attend my Full Moon rite"

Invocation to the God

"Radiant King of the Heavens Master of beasts wild and free Horned stag I greet
you at the waxing of the moon's power I invite you to attend my Full Moon rite"

Meditation and Chant to the Goddess

Sit with your spine straight, legs crossed, hands in your lap. Close your eyes and visualize the Goddess, however she appears to you. Feel her arms around you in a protective embrace. When you have the vision firmly planted, begin chanting softly:

"Starry Goddess, Full of Light I honor you this Full Moon Night"

Repeat, feeling your energy grow. This energy will be used during the following spellworking.

Spellworking

Cleanse and consecrate poppet for workings of magic. Stuff it with the herbs. Sew the opening closed.

"Goddess of Opportunity Bring good things in life to me I'll be alert to all you send Goddess be my helpful friend"

Repeat 3 times, envisioning the opportunities you wish to come to you.

Reverse Lunar Draw

Raise the athame to the moon, then bring it to your lips and back down to your side, releasing the energy you built during the Drawing. Thank the Goddess and God. Release the Circle. Walk back around the circle, pulling the mist back into your hands. Place the poppet in your closet, your car, your handbag or somewhere else close to you. You can re-work this spell at the next full moon if you feel it's necessary.

Good things will soon come.

Prayer

Dearest Creator, I know that You are the source of all my good and that You provide for me in all ways. Please help me release the fears that block me from receiving Your gifts. Please help me feel the emotions of peace, gratitude, and financial security and to know that I am Your child upon whom You bestow great blessings. I now stay open to Divine guidance, which perfectly leads me to situations, people and opportunities that are part of Your plan for my financial peace. I now see and feel myself and every-one else as completely financially secure, and my heart overflows with gratitude and joy at the abundant universe that You created. Thank You.

A Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels and Other Subversive SpiritsA Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels and Other Subversive Spirits by Carol K. Mack
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found this book to be interesting. The information contained in this book was stimulating. I personally found slight humor in one part of the book. There is reference to a creature known as a Bunyip in this book, and for anyone who is a fan of the TV show "Charmed", you will remember that there is a Bunyip entry in the Halliwell's Book Of Shadows, it's this part that I found slightly funny, simply because what was supposedly a made up magical creature, might really be real.

However, if demons, fallen angels, faires, and other such magical creatures interest you, then this book is for you. If anyone has an interest in these things, then I recommend you read this book.
